Christ paid it all!
Ever since my men’s meeting two days ago, a chorus that we sang has been going through my head: “I’ll never know how much it cost, to see my sins upon that cross.” My brain just wouldn’t let it go. I woke up this morning about 3am to a howling wind and what sounded like a pouring rain. Then, when I got up around 6am, I found that it was snowing.
Then it hit me. I may never know what the true debt of my sins, but I do know the result of the cross. In the wind and the rain, God was washing away all of my sins and the wind was blowing away all of the baggage that I carry around every day. That beautiful layer of white snow was God telling me that I can start over, my slate has been wiped clean.
I truly believe that we are getting close to the end, and there is a great deal of trouble ahead. But it is not a defeat, at least not for those that believe. God is bring about the end of evil, and good is going to triumph! Yes, there are some tough times ahead, but history has shown us that during tough times, his kingdom explodes in growth.
We have a chance right now to wipe our slates clean, and be ready to lead others to do the same. If we are right with God, walking in step with the Holy Spirit, we will be ready to show the world the right way, the way that leads to salvation. If we are prepared, we can show those around us a hope for the future because God is in control. When those around us lose everything out of fear, we can show them our secure foundation and lead them home.
Give in to God, let him wash away your sins and blow the crud far away!
